Terry Cradlebaugh Death notice

Terry Lee Cradlebaugh, affectionately known as Terry or TC to his friends and family, passed away peacefully on April 10, 2025, at the age of 68. Born on April 20, 1956, in Akron, Ohio, to Charles M. Cradlebaugh and Shirley (Briggs) Cradlebaugh, Terry was a lifelong resident of Akron, where he also said his final goodbyes surrounded by the love of his family. A proud graduate of Buchtel High School, Terry went on to serve the City of Akron with dedication as a Master Mechanic. His skilled hands and keen understanding of machinery were surpassed only by his immense generosity and willingness to lend aid to anyone in need. Terry's professional legacy is one of tireless service and countless vehicles kept running smoothly thanks to his expertise. Beyond his professional life, Terry was a man of many passions. He loved to dance, finding joy in the rhythm and the company of others on the dance floor. Bowling was another favorite pastime, where he would often be found striking up conversations along with pins, always with a warm and welcoming smile. However, his greatest love was for his family and friends. Terry's heart was fullest when surrounded by his beloved children: his sons David Buchanan and Terry Cradlebaugh, Curtis Mullins, and his daughters Misty Kazy (Cradlebaugh) and Terri Lee Cradlebaugh, Crystal Grove. He took immense pride in his role as a father, guiding them with love and wisdom.  Terry was preceded in death by his father, Charles M. Cradlebaugh, and his daughter, Angela Miller (Cradlebaugh). His memory will be cherished and kept alive by his surviving family members, including his mother, Shirley Cradlebaugh; his sisters and brothers-in-law, Christine and Curt Dancy, Cherie and Jeffrey Ross, Wendy and William Lee; his adored grandchildren Jacob, Jenna, Gunnar, Nevaeh, Kellsie, Thomas, and Kaydin; as well as several aunts and uncles, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. Each of these individuals was touched by Terry's loving spirit and faith-filled nature.  Terry's life was one of selfless love and boundless generosity. He was the embodiment of the phrase "We're blessed by the best, don't settle for less," a motto he lived by and shared with all who knew him. His faith was the cornerstone of his existence, and it shone through in his every action, from the smallest kindness to the most significant gestures.  In remembering Terry, one might reflect on the words of Mother Teresa: "Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love." This sentiment mirrors the life that Terry led, one filled with small, loving acts that together created a legacy of greatness.  Terry's life was a testament to the power of giving, and he will be remembered as a loving, generous, and faith-filled man. His absence will be deeply felt by all who had the pleasure of knowing him, but the memories of his kindness and his unwavering spirit will continue to inspire those he has left behind.  Terry takes his final bow, we celebrate the dance of his life, acknowledging that while his presence will be missed, his steps have left an indelible mark on the hearts of his loved ones. May he rest in peace, knowing that his life was a dance well-danced, a race well-run, and a journey of love completed.  Friends may call Thursday April 17th 2025 from 4-7p.m. At Cottage Grove Church 3133 Cottage Grove Rd Akron Ohio. Interment at a later date.
