Paul Williams Death notice

Paul D. Williams, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully in his hometown of Youngstown on March 24, 2024, at the age of 81. Born on June 2, 1942, in Youngstown, Paul lived a full life marked by dedication to his family, a strong work ethic, and a passion for classic cars.

Paul was the loving husband of Mary Frichtel Williams, whom he married in 1982, then again in 2015.Their union was one of mutual respect, and shared love.

He was a proud father to Raelene Rose of Struthers, Paul D. Williams of Fort Mills, SC, Susan (Mike) Dedonato of Fort Meyers, FL, and Tina Williams of Youngstown. Paul's children remember him as a guiding light, always there to offer support and wisdom. His ten grandchildren, Dawna Martin, Ray Latimer, Paul "Jr" Latimer (Marissa), Megan Latimer, Brenden Williams (Mikelle), Sarah Williams, Lincoln Williams, Justin (Gabbie) Dedonato, Joseph Dedonato, and Jimmy (Gracie) Dedonato; along with his eight great-grandchildren, brought him immeasurable joy and pride. Paul was predeceased by his grandson, Noah.

Paul was a graduate of Chaney High School and went on to honorably serve his country overseas in the Navy for five years. His commitment to service and excellence continued throughout his 30-year tenure at General Motors, where he worked in the cushion room.

Beyond his professional life, Paul's interests were deeply rooted in his love for his children, grandchildren, and nieces. He cherished the time spent with his family, especially when it involved his prized 49 Merc and the other cars he enjoyed working on. His passion for automobiles was more than a hobby; it was a way to connect with others, to share stories, and to pass on his knowledge to the next generation.

Paul's memory will be held dear by those who knew and loved him. His presence was a source of stability and comfort, and his absence will be profoundly felt. He leaves behind a legacy of love, hard work, and the importance of family. Paul D. Williams will be remembered not only for the life he lived but also for the countless ways he touched the lives of others.

As we say goodbye to Paul, we celebrate a life well-lived, a journey marked by an unwavering commitment to his loved ones, and a heart that was always ready to give. His story does not end here, for he lives on in the memories we carry and in the love that does not fade. Rest in peace, Paul, until we meet again.
