Mary Waneta Foster

Mary Waneta Foster, 77, of Massillon, OH, went home to be with the Lord on August 19, 2025. She was born on March 28, 1948, in New Milton, WV to the late Rubin and Donna Dillon.

Mary shared 59 years of marriage with her beloved husband, Richard. Together they built a loving family. She is survived by her 4 children: Rick (Brenda) Foster of Bolivar, TN, Randy (Eva) Foster and Ryan “Scott” Foster of Brewster, and Ginger (Mike) Ott of Massillon. Mary was a proud grandmother to 14 grandchildren: Hunter, Catherine, Brian, Alexandria, and Brianna Foster, Jeffrey Farris, Jasmine, Isaiah, and Elijah Foster, Tyler and Jessica Foster, and Justin, Jacob, and Joel Ott, 3 great-granddaughters: Ellie, Elayna, and Katerina, and aunt to many nieces and nephews.

She is also survived by 5 siblings: Edward “Lee” Dillon, Ralph Dillon, John Dillon, Dale Dilley, and Carol Little. Mary was preceded in death by 4 sisters, Freda, Janet, Jean, and Jackie, and 1 brother, Glen.

Mary’s life was defined by her deep love for her family, her kindness, and her steadfast faith. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose warmth and compassion touched everyone she met.

A graveside service will be held in her honor on Friday, August 29, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens Chapel located at 3655 Wales Ave NW, Massillon, OH  44646

Mary will be remembered with love and greatly missed by all who knew her.
