Mark A. Vavrek passed away suddenly at the age of 63 on March 4, 2025, in Middleburg Hts, Ohio, due to cardiac arrest. Born on November 21, 1961, in Cleveland.
Mark was the beloved son of Lydia Vavrek and the late Joseph Vavrek. He grew up surrounded by the love and support of his siblings, Gregory Vavrek (Sally), Susan Klunzinger (Dean), Deborah Weis (Richard), and Kimberly Klunzinger (Vern).
A proud attendee of Strongsville High School, Mark had a passion for automotive, cooking and fishing. His love for automotive steered him into a lifelong career in the auto industry. He owned and operated M & V Autobody for many years where his craftsmanship and dedication were evident in every vehicle he repaired. He took pride is his work and helping others. Even after leaving Ohio for Missouri, he continued to do what he loved most, working with cars and giving them new life. Mark's love for cars wasn't just his only hobby- it was a way of life. Mark was known for his enthusiasm for anything automotive. Mark was also proud that earlier in his life he owned a boat and enjoyed anytime on the water. He also loved to share recipes and be creative in the kitchen.
Mark’s son, Gunner Vavrek, born June 2011, inherited Mark's love for cars, and even at his young age they shared many hours in the body shop creating memories that Gunner will cherish forever. Gunner grew up working with Mark assisting by his side. Gunner will forever miss his father's loving touch, hugs and sense of humor.
Mark's legacy of love and laughter also lives on through his many nieces and nephews, Steve (Melinda), Heather, Tina (Zack), Brittany (Jon), Ashley (Austin), Dean (Molly), Andrew (Emma), Alex, Aiden, and Grant, who will all miss their funny and loving uncle.
Mark was a man of many admirable qualities. His loving nature and sense of humor made him fun to be around. He loved to laugh and had a generous nature and was willing to do anything for anyone. He enjoyed the simple pleasures of life finding happiness in the roar of an engine, seeing a nice car, fishing pole in the water, his love for animals and the laughter of his loved ones.
Mark's departure has left an irreplaceable void in our hearts. He was a father, a son, a brother, an uncle, and a friend who will be missed. As we mourn his loss, we also celebrate his life who gave so much love to others. Mark's journey through life was a beautiful ride, and though he may have reached the end of the road, the memories he created will continue to cruise through the hearts of his loved ones forever.
A Memorial Service will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 8, 2025 at Royal Redeemer Lutheran Church, 11680 Royalton Rd., N. Royalton, OH 44133.
