We gather today to honor and remember the life of Kimberly Renee Eckert, affectionately known as Kim, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Kim was born on July 13, 1961, in Warren, Ohio, where she also peacefully passed away on December 14, 2025, due to natural causes. She lived a life marked by love, dedication, and joy, touching the hearts of those around her. Kim's journey began in the town where she would also say her goodbyes. Warren, Ohio, was not just her birthplace but also the cradle of her memories and the home she made for her family. Her presence was a constant in the community, both through her work at local hotels and Save A Lot, and through her involvement in various associations, where she was known for her hard work and kindness. Family was the cornerstone of Kim's life. She was a central figure in the lives of the love of her life the late Anthony Mays, Her Mother the late Emma Chelsea, her brothers and sisters - Kenneth, Michael Ferris, Kathleen Marie Ferris, the late John Paul Ferris, the late Robert Keith McMillan, Sharon Sue King, Katrina Lynn Cutlip, and Pamela Jo Wulf. As a mother, she nurtured her children, Shannon Ritter (Steve Charles), Eleanor Eckert (Shaun) Garza, and Robert Edward Eckert Jr. (Stephanie Eckert), with unconditional love and wisdom. Her role as 'Grandma Kim' to her adored grandchildren - Dwayne Ritter, Lelan Eckert, Lynsey Eckert, Christopher Eckert, Hailie Eckert, Alannah Eckert, Alexandria Eckert, the late Emily Eckert, and Lowgan Garza - was one she cherished deeply. Kim had many good friends but the closest were Tricia Barnes-Toler, Joshua Grossbeck & Jacqueline Grossbeck Kim loved them dearly as she did her other friends. Kim's passions were simple yet profound. She found immense joy in spending time with her grandchildren, and her love for walks was well known, often serving as a backdrop for cherished conversations and moments of laughter. These walks were not just a form of exercise but a means of connection, a testament to Kim's belief in the beauty of the simple things in life. As we reflect on Kim's legacy, we are reminded of the words of the great poet Maya Angelou, who once said, "I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." Kim made everyone around her feel loved, valued, and important. Her warm spirit and generous heart left an indelible mark on her family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Today, as we say farewell to Kim, we celebrate the life she lived and the love she shared. Her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts and memories of her family, the stories they will share, and the love they will pass on. Kimberly Renee Eckert's story is one of joy, family, and the enduring power of the human spirit. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
