Jeffrey Lee Thomas, a cherished husband and father, devoted elder, and friend to many, sadly passed away on March 3, 2025 at the age of 61, in Cleveland, Ohio. Born on February 11, 1964, in Laurel, Mississippi to parents Joe Jones and Shirley Ann Thomas.  Jeff’s life course was a testament to the power of faith, the beauty of family, and the joy of true friendship.

On October 24, 1999 Jeff and Gina were married and began their life together. Jeff’s role as a husband, a father, and a provider was one he cherished, instilling values of love, respect, and spirituality in his family.

He served as an elder in the Todd Heights Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses, where his easy-going nature, approachableness, and compassion touched many lives. His commitment to his faith was unwavering, and he lived his beliefs through his actions, always ready to lend a hand or an ear to those in need.

 Jeff had many interests and hobbies. He found joy in working on projects around the house, raising chickens, and bike riding.  In 2019 he was a delegate at the International Convention of Jehovah’s Witnesses and loved sharing the experiences he had while visiting South Korea and the new friends he made. His porch was his sanctuary, a place where he spent countless hours talking with his buddies, sharing stories, and enjoying the simple pleasure of companionship.

Jeff will be deeply missed by his wife of 25 years, Gina Rachelle Thomas; his children, Alivia Marie Thomas, Jasmyne Yvonne Thomas; as well as his brothers, Joe Thomas and Willie Jones. He was preceded in death by his father, Joe Jones; mother, Shirley Ann Thomas; sister, Deborah Thomas; sister, Patricia Ann Jones; and brother, Michael Charles Thomas.

While his life has come to an end, his laughter, his stories, and his unwavering dedication to his family and faith will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. As we say goodbye to Jeffrey Lee Thomas, we celebrate a life well-lived, a man who made a difference in the lives of many. The impact he made on those around him will continue to resonate for years to come.

Let us remember not just the sound of his laughter but the way he made each of us feel—a little lighter, a little brighter, and a lot more loved.
