James "Jimmy" Newsom Sr., a cherished family man known for his humor, adventurous spirit, and creativity, passed away on August 19, 2025, at the age of 51. Born on September 27, 1973, in Warren, Ohio, Jimmy was a beacon of light and laughter to all who knew him. Jimmy's has left behind a wife, Kristy Newsom, and their three children: James Newsom Jr., Jacob Newsom, and Nevaeh Newsom. He was a proud father, reveling in every moment spent with his children, and an even prouder grandfather to his four grandsons, who meant the world to him. His mother, Debbie Williams (Harry), his father James Newsom (deceased), his sister, Kristi Gregory, his brother-in-law, Glen Gregory, and his brother Travis Newsom, and cousin Tiffany Newsome, who was the a rock for the rest of the family. He had the rare ability to find humor in the everyday, a trait that endeared him to many. His creative mind was never at rest, always cooking up new ideas and projects that brought joy to those around him. Jimmy was a man who lived in the present, making the most of every moment. An avid outdoorsman, Jimmy found solace in the tranquility of nature. He was often found with a fishing rod in hand, patiently awaiting the day's catch. But it was not the fish he sought; it was the peacefulness of the water and the joy of being surrounded by the ones he loved. Jimmy's adventurous spirit led him down many paths, but none more fulfilling than the adventures he shared with his family. His sense of adventure was matched only by his creative approach to life's challenges. As we remember Jimmy, we celebrate a life lived with passion. His legacy is one of love, laughter, and the courage to embrace life's adventures. He has left an indelible mark on the hearts of his loved ones, and his memory will continue to inspire. Jimmy's life story is a reminder to us all to cherish the moments we have with those we love, to seek out laughter in the face of adversity, and to approach life with a sense of wonder and creativity. Though he has left this earthly realm, his spirit remains a guiding light. Rest in peace, dear Jimmy, until we meet . again.
