David Yeager Death notice

David Graden Yeager, affectionately known to friends and family as "Desperado Dave," passed away peacefully on April 13, 2024, in Akron, Ohio, at the age of 61. Born on October 11, 1962, in Melbourne, Florida, Dave's zest for life and his hearty spirit were evident from the very beginning.

Dave's life was a testament to the virtues of hard work and the simple joys of living. He was a jack of all trades, dabbling in farming, maintenance, and carpentry, and in recent years, he found joy in being a delivery driver. His work ethic was matched only by his generosity and willingness to lend a hand to those in need. It was often said that Dave would have given the shirt off his back for anyone, a true reflection of his selfless nature.

His love for the outdoors was unparalleled. Dave cherished his time fishing, hunting, and playing dice. His fondness for country music was known to all, and his dreams often took him to the serene landscapes of Tennessee, where he had planned to join his children and grandchildren. Dave's presence was like a warm fire on a cold night, comforting and welcoming to all who knew him.

Dave leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter, survived by his sons, Thomas Yeager and David Christopher Yeager, and his adored grandchildren, Novalee, Chase, and Zebediah. His sisters, Alberta and Vivian Eiseman, will remember their brother with fondness and deep affection. Dave's family was the cornerstone of his life, and his role as a grandfather was one he cherished with all his heart.

Those who knew Dave understood his affinity for the bygone era of mountain men, living off the land a century ago. His adventurous spirit and robust independence were qualities that resonated with everyone he met. The stories of his escapades and his hearty laugh will resonate with friends and family for years to come.

In honor of Dave's enduring spirit, a quote by Henry David Thoreau seems fitting: "Go confidently in the direction of your dreams! Live the life you've imagined." Dave certainly lived by these words, pursuing his passions with a confidence that inspired those around him.

David Graden Yeager's memory will be cherished as a man of resilience, kindness, and unwavering love for his family. He will be truly missed, always loved, and forever remembered as a man whose heart was as vast as the open skies he so dearly loved.

Rest in peace, Desperado Dave. Your legacy will continue to guide us through the paths less traveled, under the wide-open country skies that you loved so much.
