Charlotte Chalop passed away peacefully on February 20, 2026, at the age of 84 while surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Warren, Ohio on August 25, 1941. She was a long-time resident of Niles, Ohio. Charlotte was known for her fun-loving, energetic personality, and was affectionately called “Gypsy” due to her joyous approach to life.
A devoted homemaker, Charlotte dedicated her life to raising her four children, infusing her home with warmth, love, and the unforgettable aromas of her cooking and sounds of her harmonious singing. Her hobbies included reading, painting, and cherishing the moments spent with her family and friends. A proud alumna of Warren G. Harding High School, she carried the spirit of her education throughout her life.
Charlotte is survived by her daughters, Desiree Holbrook, Dianne (Robert) Foreback, Danielle (Richard) Chalop Vingle, and son Dimitros Chalop. She will also be fondly remembered by her grandson Durango (Shawna) Holbrook, and her three great-granddaughters, Isabelle, Annabelle, and Arabelle.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ann Josephine and James Yarnell, her beloved husband Dimitros Butchie Chalop, and her son-in-law, Herbert Holbrook.
The family wishes heart-felt gratitude to son-in-law Robert Foreback for his caring, love and providing a steady presence to Charlotte over the past few years.
